Description

Non-violence, non-covetousness and non-stealing are three of the five yamas (restraints) described in the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, known for disciplining the mind and increasing self-control. Non-violence (ahimsa) is the base for all spiritual practices and is considered a universal restraint, appearing in the founding scriptures of all three major religions in the West. Non-covetousness (aparigraha) and non-stealing (asteya) are the key to lasting satisfaction.
