Swami Swaroopananda

Swami Swaroopananda is a senior disciple of Swami Vishnudevananda. A practicing yogi from a very young age, Swami Swaroopananda has dedicated his life to the practice and teaching of yoga. He taught in Yoga Teacher Training Courses around the world and is currently teaching advanced yoga philosophy courses and lectures internationally. He is Director of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat and Acharya (spiritual director) for the Sivananda centers and ashrams in the Bahamas and the Middle East. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centres.

Stephen Sinatra

Stephen Sinatra, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist and assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Certified as a bioenergetic psychotherapist and nutrition and anti-aging specialist, Dr. Sinatra integrates psychological, nutraceutical, and electroceutical therapies in the matrix of healing. Joyce Hawkes

Joyce Hawkes, PhD, is a biophysicist and cell-biologist who received a National Achievement Award. A near-death experience in 1984 caused her to embark on extensive exploration of indigenous spiritual and healing traditions, incorporated into her book Cell-Level Healing: The Bridge from Soul to Cell. A Fellow in the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Dr. Hawkes is the founder of Healing Arts Associates and maintains a private practice in Seattle, Washington.


Claudia Welch

Claudia Welch is a Doctor of Oriental Medicine and a practitioner of Ayurvedic medicine. She lectures on Oriental and Ayurvedic medicines internationally and brings a depth of knowledge and a sense of joy to her presentations. Dr. Welch is an author of Eastern medicine and philosophy, including her new book, Balance Your Hormones, Balance Your Life, a look at women’s health that offers a combined perspective from Western science, Ayurveda and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Timothy McCall

Timothy McCall, M.D. is a board-certified internist and the Medical Editor of Yoga Journal. A Yoga practitioner from 1995, Dr. McCall travels regularly to India to research yoga, yoga therapy and Ayurveda, and to study with a traditional Ayurvedic Vaidhya (doctor) in Kerala and a Tantric master in Bangalore. His main focus since the year 2000 has been investigating the therapeutic aspects of yoga, as well as the scientific explanations of yoga’s effects. Dr. McCall lectures internationally and is the author of Yoga as Medicine: The Yogic Prescription for Health and Healing and Examining Your Doctor: A Patient’s Guide to Avoiding Harmful Medical Care.


Marc Halpern (Siva)

Marc Halpern (Siva), DC, is a chiropractor, Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist, and certified Sivananda Yoga Teacher. Founder and President of the California College of Ayurveda, Dr. Halpern is the author of the popular book Healing Your Life: Lessons on the Path of Ayurveda and two textbooks. A leader in the field, he is also cofounder of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association and the California Association of Ayurvedic Medicine and sits on the advisory boards of Light on Ayurveda Journal in the United States and the Journal of Research and Education in Indian Medicine in India.


Adhi Moonien Two Owls

Adhi Moonien Two Owls is a traditionally trained Shaman and healer. Her formal background is in fine art painting and sculpture.
