Sri Swami Medhananda Puri is a distinguished, traditional teacher of Vedanta. He is simple, welcoming, readily accessible and approachable to all who seek the knowledge of Vedanta both for common public and Vedanta students. Students from different ashrams approach him for several Vedanta classes. In 1979 Swami Medhananda Puri joined Kailash Ashram, Rishikesh. He was initiated into Kailash Ashram monastic order. He mastered Vyakaranam, Mimamsa, Nyaya, Sankhya sastras, Advaita philosophy, Bhagavad Gita, ten principal Upanisads and Brahma Sutras. Over the years, he served as acharya at the ashram. In 1987 he was elevated as Treasurer and Manager of Kailash Ashram.
A teacher of teachers, Swami Medhananda designed and taught several Vedanta courses. His students became acharyas, who are now teaching around the world.
