Bhakti Yoga and the Divine Feminine

Description

Enlightenment can take the form of an embrace of the Divine with our hearts. This certainly is part of Bhakti Yoga. But there is another side to enlightenment, a less known side, a more subtle, hidden side that often gets overlooked despite its dramatic expressions in the sacred texts on Yoga. It is the other side of enlightenment that is a gift, an offering from something much greater than our own efforts in Yoga. It is the side of Divine grace coming from the feminine divine as Yogamāyā. Furthermore, the greatest exemplars of Bhakti and recipients of this realm of grace beyond enlightenment are certain female practitioners of yoga.

Join us as Garuda das explores female practitioners for the ways they reveal secret teachings of the heart in the hidden teachings of Bhakti embedded within the sacred texts of yoga. He will bring out key passages and specific teachings from the Vedas and Upaniṣads, The Yoga Sūtra, Bhagavad Gītā, The Bhakti Sūtra, and the Bhāgavata Purāṇa that disclose the ways of the Divine feminine in which the mutual embrace between divinity and humanity reveals itself in our practice of Yoga.
