With the extraordinary advances in medical technology, many more people are reporting having had near-death experiences. We have all heard about people seeing a white light or angelic beings, or seeing their bodies in the treatment room from perspectives that are physically impossible. What do these experiences mean? Do they actually provide information about what happens after death? Is there life after death? Are we this physical body or are we a soul that continues to exist even when the physical body ceases to exist? Guided by spiritual teachers and medical professionals, we will explore these questions from the perspectives of religion, neuroscience, and psychology. We will leave with an understanding that will help to lessen our fear of death and the grief we experience upon the death of loved ones.
