Description

Learn the art of meditation on Nada-Brahman or sacred sound through Nada Yoga techniques and the fundamentals of classical Indian music. With an emphasis on voice culture and the production of the pure note, we will experience an aesthetic sense of the concept of rasa and an appreciation of the structure and beauty of a rāga (melodic pattern) and the tāla (rhythmic cycle). Discover the structures of classical Indian Ragas and their relationship to the paths of Bhakti (devotion), Tantra (immanent awareness), and Nada Yoga.

Prior musical ability or training is not required for this workshop.
