Asana practice teaches awareness of the body while developing strength, flexibility and balance. When practiced with the awareness of alignment, asana is re-vitalizing and provides great therapeutic value.  Without alignment, asana can become no more than self-induced trauma.
Lectures and classes will explore the fundamentals of alignment used in all asana and yoga therapy. Learn subtle but essential alignment principles that keep asana safe and advancing in form with elegance while always in adherence to yogic philosophy. Classes will explore, alone and with partners, basic yoga therapy techniques that can be used for individual or one-to-one assists and can be immediately put into practice.
