From Stress to Resilience: Cutting-Edge Science Meets Ancient Wisdom

November 20 - 23, 2014

Susan B. Lord

There are many ways we care for ourselves, including good nutrition and yoga, but self-care also involves an understanding of and resilient response to the stressors in our life. Stress can diminish us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, causing great suffering over the long term. Ancient meditative and mind-body practices offer effective ways of transforming stress and recent discoveries in genetics, biochemistry, physics, and neuroscience now explain and validate these approaches. Offered as three evening satsangs and three daily hour-and-a-half workshops, this program teaches a variety of meditative and mind-body modalities to facilitate self-awareness and self- expression, essential ingredients for living a mindful life of resilience, joy, and meaning.
