At the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat we offer a wide-range of programs led by a variety of accomplished teachers in Yoga, holistic health, and spirituality. Our courses combine instruction in addition to personal practice of the Yogic lifestyle. Courses are designed to integrate Yogic philosophy and tools as a means to access deeper levels of personal understanding of Yoga in its most expansive sense of spiritual progression. Participants benefit personally as well as professionally by learning philosophy, gaining skills and deepening understanding of the spiritual practices.

The ashram offers a unique experience for participants as the environment provides an immersion into the daily practice of whole-person learning. The ashram schedule offers a balanced approach to "living yoga" from our daily practice of meditation, chanting, karma yoga, spiritual study and coursework, and practical sessions of yoga postures and breathing exercises. Individuals attending courses at the ashram are given the opportunity to apply and experience the material gained from coursework through the support and design of the ashram environment.

Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat currently offers Continuing Education Units for a variety of disciplines through Berkshire Area Health Education Center (www.berkshireahec.org) and Yoga Alliance. You are advised to check with your state board of licensure or professional association to determine if a particular program meets their continuing education requirements.
