Course Details
This one week immersion into prenatal yoga provides complete preparation for working professionally, confidently, and sensitively with pregnant women. Course content includes: yoga asanas and pranayama for pregnancy, anatomy and physiology of pregnancy, health considerations and risks, stages of labor and preparation; basics of yoga therapy; embracing the mental and emotional changes; meditation and chanting; conscious relaxation and visualization; guidelines for the post-natal time; practice teaching and final practicum. A comprehensive teaching manual is provided.

Teachers’ Biographies
Kashi Richardson, has been a full-time yoga teacher for 12 years and has extensive experience in working with pregnant women. Her background includes Advanced Teacher Training in Sivananda Yoga, Yoga Therapy certification, and Doula training. She specializes in yoga for pregnancy and childbirth preparation, and therapeutic yoga for injury and illness. She is also a senior instructor for the Salt Spring Centre of Yoga where she offers a variety of training workshops.
Ravit Schraiber Ben-Ishai (Omkari), M.D. is a medical doctor and Director of the Hazzera Family Health Clinic in Kiryat Gat, Israel. She specializes in family medicine and mind body medicine. She is a Sivananda trained yoga teacher with over 11 years of experience. She specializes in prenatal yoga and has served as the main prenatal yoga teacher in the Sivananda Yoga Center in Tel Aviv.
Prerequisites
The course is open to certified Yoga Teachers of all traditions. Please fax or email a copy of your yoga teacher certificate upon registration for this course.
Certification
Course graduates will receive certification from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center.
Yoga Alliance
75 hours credit toward RYT500 Yoga Alliance accreditation.
Arrival and Departure
The course starts at 11:00am on April 13 and finishes at 6:00pm on April 19. You are welcome to arrive earlier or stay after the course finishes for a yoga vacation or for further study.
