Ayurveda Body Treatments Certification Course

This course will take students on an exploratory journey into the history,
function and sacred practice of traditional Ayurveda bodywork. Students will
learn the traditional oil massage (Abhyanga), pouring of oil to the head (Shirodhara),
and gentle heat therapy (Svedana). These practices are known as Ananda (or
Bliss) Therapy which provides clients with detoxification and rejuvenation of
body, mind and spirit - the ultimate balance. The course consists of 80 hours of

Teachers' Biographies

Lalita Devi is a
Clinical Ayurveda Specialist. She teaches at the California College of Ayurveda and is Director of the Well Being Center at the Yoga Retreat.

Prerequisites
The course is open to all. It is ideal for massage therapists and all others who are interested in learning the ancient techniques of Ayurveda body treatments.
Certification
Course graduates receive certification from the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Center. This certification has professional status for registered massage therapists.
Graduates of the ABTC can stay for one or two more days and have the
opportunity to gain more hands-on practical experience in what they have learned
during the course.
Cost
Tuition: US$790. Add 10 nights accommodation (see rates). US$300 deposit is required by November
5. Tuition for additional 1/2 days of practice: 50$ per day.
What to bring
2 sets of sheets (used OK), 6 white facecloths, 2 hand towels, blanket and a

Arrival and Depature
The course starts at 11:00am on
the first day and finishes at 2:00pm on the last day. You are welcome to arrive earlier or stay after the course finishes for a Yoga Vacation or for further study.
