Course Details   

Ideal for people who are new to yoga or those who would like to make sure they are well aligned in their asana & pranayama practice. This program is a step by step complete immersion in the basics of Yoga, following the 5 points designed by Swami Vishnu-devananda for health & inner peace: Proper exercise (12 asanas & sun salutation), proper breathing (pranayama), proper relaxation (savasana), proper diet and positive thinking & meditation (dhyana). What better environment then beautiful Bahamas to begin or perfect your journey into yoga?

Sylvie Boisclair
Sylvie Boisclair (Saraswati) is a RYT 500-hour certified yoga teacher and graduate of the Sivananda basic and advanced Yoga Teacher Training Course. She is a life-long dancer who found yoga while searching for a body-mind connection that did not link physical performance to self-worth.

Daily Schedule

  • 5.30am             Wake-up
  • 6am                 Satsang (Meditation, chanting, lecture)
  • 8am                 In depth study of each asana & pranayama
                            with the emphasis on one specific posture or breathing exercise.
  • 10am               Brunch
  • 11am:              Karma yoga
  • 12am to 1pm    In depth study of one of the 5 basic principles of yoga 
  • 1pm:                Individual consultations if needed
  • 4pm                 Asana class
  • 6pm                 Dinner
  • 8pm                 Satsang (Meditation, chanting, lecture)

Cost

Arrival and Departure

Please plan to arrive at the Yoga Retreat at least one day before the start of the course and to leave at least one day after the course completion.

We recommend that you spend at least a few days in the Yoga Retreat before the start of your course. This allows your body and mind time to rest, re-energize and be nourished by the ashram environment. You can then begin your study feeling relaxed and refreshed. You may also wish to stay for some days after the end of the course to allow the learning from your study to integrate more fully into your consciousness within the supportive environment of the ashram. If you decide to arrive early and to stay longer, please register for the Yoga Vacation Program for those additional days. Please see calendar of events for guest programs on offer around the time of your visit.

3 courses 10% discount
4 courses 15% discount
5 courses and more 20% discount

Payment for all courses registered for is required in full on arrival in the ashram.
