Course Details
If you want to learn how to cook delicious vegetarian meals that support your yogic practice and provide balance to your body and mind, this course is for you. The course is taught by Brahmachari Shankar, the head chef of the ashram. Recipes for many of the dishes served regularly at the ashram will be taught, including Indian and Middle Eastern vegetarian dishes. Through demonstrations and hands-on cooking, you will learn how to prepare delicious meals in a relaxed and fun atmosphere. A special class on ayurvedic principles of nutrition taught by an Ayurveda specialist will teach you how food affects your daily life and the world around you.

Brahmachari Shankar
Brahmachari Shankar is a senior staff member of the Sivananda Ashram Yoga Retreat. He is one of the main teachers of the Teacher Training and Advanced Teacher Training Courses. He is an experienced cook and has been head of the ashram kitchen for many years.
