The temptations of tasty treats during the holidays make this a challenging time of year to stay on track with intentions of health and well-being. Guided by an experienced health professional within the ashram’s supportive and relaxing environment, come focus on healing and learning without distractions.

 

The Good Food, Better Life Island Cleanse consists of four full days of alkalizing fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies, and meals prepared in creative, delicious ways and filled with raw, vegan, nutrient-dense foods to ensure you feel nourished and satisfied. The program is designed to:
 

• improve metabolism and digestion
• cleanse internal organs
• reduce inflammation
• increase energy
• reset the appetite
• educate, inspire, and clear the mind.
 

Come experience pure energy and feel great in your body. You’ll be given practical tools and recipes to take home and accompany your newfound, healthy lifestyle patterns and be empowered to enjoyably move through the holiday season with confidence.

Joelle Rabion is an author, board-certified Holistic Wellness Consultant and Culinary Nutritionist, and avid yoga practitioner. Currently the Culinary Nutritionist with the Green Gourmet Chicago, Joelle has been using food for healing for over a decade: demystifying the food we eat, providing “prescriptions” — practical solutions for health using whole foods — making the road to wellness understandable and achievable.

Daily Schedule
Your course schedule has been designed by the presenter to provide a holistic educational experience, and includes course presentation time, meal times, and free time for you to enjoy the beach and the grounds and participate in the ashram’s daily programs. Lines in bold type indicate required course times.

Morning and Evening Satsang: community gatherings for meditation, chanting & teachings; sometimes a silent beach walk.

Yoga Asana & Pranayama Classes: available on outdoor ocean and bayfront platforms (beginner and intermediate levels offered twice daily).
