Swami Vishnudevananda's Teachings on the Conquest of Death

Swami Brahmananda

In his time, the ashram’s founder, Swami Vishnudevananda, was known for asking at satsang, “What day is today?” The answer was always, “One day closer to death.”

Death is a subject of the deepest interest to everyone. One day or another, we all must die. Yet the terror of death often overshadows human lives, bringing unnecessary sorrow, suffering, and anxiety to those who are anxious to know about the fate of their loved ones’ departed souls — and, ultimately, their own.

The one aim of all yoga sadhanas (practices) is to face death fearlessly and joyfully. A yogi or sage, or even a true aspirant, has no fear of death. Come learn more about Swami Vishnudevananda’s teachings on the conquest of death, the highest purpose of all spiritual practice, and find freedom from your own fears.

Offered as 3 satsangs (subject to change)
