When Ananta Govinda was born, his parents took him directly from the hospital and placed him on the altar of the world famous Radha Govinda Deities that now reside in Brooklyn NY. A practitioner of Bhakti Yoga since birth, Ananta was taught that the sound vibration of the Names of God were the sweetest gift. He is known for playing mrdanga (traditional Bengali drum) and encouraging others to sing without inhibition when he leads kirtan.
