Elissa Epel, PhD, is a professor of psychiatry at UCSF. She studies the impact of chronic stress on biological aging, and how behavioural, mindfulness and meditation interventions promote psychological and physiological thriving. She co-authored the New York Times best-seller The Telomere Effect: A Revolutionary Approach to Living Younger, Healthier, Longer with Nobel laureate Elizabeth Blackburn.
