Samani Rohini Pragya is a Jain nun who received initiation into nunhood from Guru Acharya Mahapragya in 2002 in India. She practices and teaches Jainism, non-violence, and Preksha Meditation and has presented lectures worldwide on various aspects of application of the Jain path in the well-being of individuals and society and has published articles in this field. She has been teaching as assistant professor for more than 10 years in the department of Jainology and Comparative Religion and Philosophy and the department of Non-Violence and Peace at Jain Vishwa Bharati in Rajasthan, India. She will be a visiting professor in the Religion Department of Florida International University in Miami beginning in the fall of 2016.
