We had a wonderful program last weekend with Gopi Kallayil, a Sivananda yogi and the Chief Evangelist, Brand Marketing at Google.

We were instructed how to take our practice out into the real world:
1. Teach yoga because it keeps up your own practice. Or volunteer in a yogic environment.

2. Meditation practice. Find the time each day.

3. Nutrition. Eat plant based foods, the more colourful the better.

4. Do karma yoga, volunteer.

5. Treat all your life as an experiment and you'll be richly rewarded.

Pomegranate Power Smoothie — with Bok Choy!

Enjoy this Pomegranate Power Smoothie that boasts substantial health promoting benefits and is great for digestion.

Strawberry and pomegranate phytochemicals have blood pressure-reducing properties, and both have anti-inflammatory effects that may protect against cancer and other chronic diseases. Bok choy is a very rich source of many vital phyto-nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and health-benefiting anti-oxidants.

INGREDIENTS

seeds from 1 pomegranate
1 cup frozen organic strawberries
1 frozen banana
1 stalk of bok choy
juice of 1 fresh lemon
1 serving Sunwarrior Vanilla Protein Powder
2 cups of unsweetened coconut milk

DIRECTIONS

Add ice and blend away.
Power up and drink up!
